Getting a small taste of life after college
Career fair attracts more than 100 companies, flocks of students
About 130 companies and 600 well-dressed students were present at Tuesday's Winter Career Fair.
Both company and student participation has risen steadily in the last couple of years.
A few years ago, only 70 companies attended, and last year there were about 100, said Carrie Coplan, a career counselor and Career Fair coordinator with Career Services.

A 24-year-old Corvallis man and former OSU student was arrested Thursday on 48 counts of criminal mischief related to a month-long investigation into graffiti around Corvallis, police said.
Colin Wonnacott was sent to jail after being arrested in his home and was released the same day.

Students are taking their case to the state Capitol building in Salem on Thursday in a rally focused on post-secondary education.
"We are talking about Oregonians," said Courtney Sproule, communications director for the Oregon Students Association. "People that will be living and working here.

"Immigration rules are not only complex, but constantly changing. In two months the rules we tell you about tonight may change," said Rachel Weber, international student adviser for International Student and Faculty Services.
Thirty-five minors cited at one party
At about 11 p.m. on Feb. 16, 35 minors were cited for alcohol possession at the same residence, Corvallis police said in a news release.
Police responded to a complaint about a loud party at 353 S.W. 11th Street and through their investigation learned of multiple minors in possession of alcohol.
