Beavers look ahead to Pac-10 tournament after ending worst regular season since 1997-98
EUGENE - With another Civil War matchup in the books, the Beavers ended their regular season losing to the Oregon Ducks 70-49 Saturday night. OSU's 20th loss of the season - and 14th straight loss at McArthur Court - brings the team to the second worst record in school history, dating back to the 1997-98 season under former coach Eddie Payne.
Women fall in Pac-10 tourney
Season ends for the Beavers, who posted a 4-14 record in the Pac-10 conference
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Oregon State's women's basketball season came to an end on Friday night as the No. 8 seeded Beavers dropped a 69-54 decision to No. 9 seed University of Arizona in the Pac-10 Tournament.
The youthful OSU squad finished the season with a 9-19 overall record and 4-14 mark in Pac-10 play.
Gymnastics rolls on with win in Idaho
BOISE, Idaho - Oregon State scored 196.475 to reach the 196-point mark for the third straight week to win Friday's quadrangular meet at Boise State. Sophomore Jami Lanz led the Beavers setting another career-best all-around score of 39.575.
Lanz, the Pac-10 Gymnast of the Week two weeks ago, made another bid for the award with career-highs on vault and bars with matching 9.
March streak ends as softball loses two games
FULLERTON, Calif. - No. 11 Oregon State lost a tough 1-0 contest to Cal State-Fullerton in Sunday's final softball game at the CSUF Worth Tournament after splitting a pair of games on Saturday.
The Beavers (11-7) were unable to put things together offensively Sunday as junior Cambria Miranda and freshman Dani Chisholm were the lone players to pick up a hit on the day.
