Friday's game against UCLA provides motivation for Sunday rally to overcome UW
Things were not looking good for Oregon State softball going into the bottom of the seventh inning Sunday. However, a triumphant rally in the bottom of the inning produced a 5-4 Beaver victory in the second game of the weekend against No. 12 Washington.
"Every one is a lift," DeAnn Young said of the win.

TUCSON, Ariz. - Oregon State's eighth-ranked gymnastics team needed a 9.900 on its final floor routine to earn a berth at the NCAA Championships, and Tasha Smith rose to the occasion with a 9.925. The Beavers overcame an incredible performance by Arizona on the beam during the final rotation to edge the Wildcats at McKale Center in front of a crowd of 1,390.

In a hostile home environment, the OSU baseball team took the series against the Cal Golden Bears after a 5-3 victory in game three.
Hostility directed toward the Golden Bears (18-19, 3-6 Pac-10) was common throughout the weekend series. But the No. 8 Beavers (28-8, 4-5) really served Cal some hostility in game three when the bats came alive.
