Decade of respectability

Ten years ago, head coach Mike Riley changed identity of football program, resulting in sucess
Entering the 1997 season, Oregon State was one of college football's worst programs. It had endured a record of 26 straight losing seasons and had just come off a lousy 2-9 campaign that ended Jerry Pettibone's tenure with the Beavers. As fall camp began, new head coach Mike Riley had a lot of work ahead of him, and it was in every aspect of the game.

Pair of Beaver golfers qualify for Amateur events

Vincent Johnson, Jessi Gebhardt will both participate in amateur tournaments this month in preparation for upcoming 2008 season that begins in September
Two current Oregon State golfers and one coach will take part in various U.S. Amateur competitions in the near future: Vincent Johnson of the men's team, Jessi Gebhardt of the women's squad and women's coach Rise Lakowske have all qualified for their respective tournaments.

Dear Mike Riley, nice job

Props to Mike Riley because today I am very proud of our football coach. And yes, I am serious. There is no sarcasm here. With the help of friends and family, I think I might finally be coming around. I'm becoming a Riley fan. And this week, Riley took a big jump up in my book.
