Track team breaks into record books

OSU had record-setting day last Saturday at Washington Husky Classic Indoor Invite
Junior Sylvia Veal ran the second fastest indoor mile time in Oregon State history, and junior Lorene Young ran the second fastest indoor 3,000-meter time Saturday at the Washington Husky Classic Indoor Invitational at the Dempsey Indoor Facility. "I feel we accomplished everything we set out to do today," said Oregon State head coach Kelly Sullivan.

Just when you think you've seen it all, the University of Oregon throws a curveball in the direction of Oregon State. The expansion of Goss Stadium has been a sign of what winning two national championships can do to a program: more seats, a better score board, a turf field and a more exciting atmosphere overall.

Sophomore pitcher Stefanie Draper pitched the first complete game shutout for the Beavers this spring as the Oregon State softball team defeated Portland State 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon in the team's home opener at the OSU Softball Complex. Draper improves her record to 5-1 on the season, allowing only three hits in the game.

Community 5K walk/run on OSU campus

KidSpirit, College of Health and Human Sciences to put on 5K Walk/Run with proceeds to benefit community programs
OSU KidSpirit serves 1,700 community youths between the ages of 2-18 annually. This program, established in 1960, maintains goals in fostering lifelong skills and friendships in a safe and positive environment. On March 1 in Corvallis a community 5K Spring Spirit walk/run will be held at the Oregon State University campus starting at 9 a.
