The Oregon State men's golf team finished in third place at the Cowboy Classic, hosted by the University of Wyoming.
Oregon State's Paul Peterson, playing as an individual, played his best golf of the year. The sophmore finished tied for second with Jason Kang of UCLA.

Hughes finalist for Lott trophy
Cornerback Brandon Hughes selected for integrity, maturity
Oregon State University senior cornerback Brandon Hughes has been selected as one of 42 players on the "watch list" for the 2008 Lott Trophy.
The trophy is presented annually by the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation and is awarded to the player who exhibits integrity, maturity, performance, academics, community and tenacity.

The Oregon State men's soccer team opened the 2008 spring season this weekend. The Beavers traveled to Portland on Saturday, April 5, to take on University ot Portland at 10 a.m. and the Portland Timbers at 12:30 p.m.
The Beavers began spring play in preparation for the 2008 fall season.

Steve Fennah resigns, after 10 years as winningest coach in program history
Oregon State University head women's soccer coach Steve Fennah resigned his post on March 13 to return to teaching at Jesuit High School in Portland.
It left a hole in the Oregon State soccer program.
The 42-year-old native of Wrexham, Wales, spent 10 years at the helm of the program, which has experienced only three head coaches since its inception in 1988.
