Softball earns All-Academic honors
Eight Beaver women recognized by Pac-10 as outstanding student-athletes
Pac-10 All-Academic honors have been distributed, and Oregon State softball hit for the cycle. Eight Oregon State softball student-athletes earned honors and tied for the lead in the conference, announced by Pac-10 Commissioner Tom Hansen.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.
Former Beaver coach Dan Spencer gets promotion
Texas Tech gives Spencer chance to prove himself, replaces coach Larry Hays
Texas Tech head baseball coach Larry Hays, the winningest coach in school history, announced that he is stepping down as the skipper of the Red Raiders, a position he has held for the last 22 years.
Dan Spencer, the current associate head coach, was named the head coach designate back on April 29 and will be formerly introduced as the eighth head coach in school history once the final details to his contract have been finalized.

Summer is almost here, and the warm weather is making a float on the river look more inviting every day.
"I love floating the river," said Kenny Tyler, a sophomore in construction engineering management. "I've been looking forward to it all year. It's the most relaxing thing there is to do.
