OSU players help lead upset victory over Juventus

"It's over! It's over!" yelped a random Eugene Metro FC (EMFC) fan from the crowd as the final penalty kick from Juventus' Denis Russo sailed over the goal. Three Oregon State players, Tracy Hasson, Daniel Leach, and Robby Christner, along with the EMFC prevailed 5-4 on penalty kicks to beat Juventus Primavera in an exhibition soccer game at Papé Field in Eugene.

Golfers enjoy busy June, earn accomplishments

Two OSU golfers set to play in amateur championship after earning all-academic honors
Oregon State golfers Alex Williams and Vincent Johnson have had a busy summer. They recently defeated 59 other participants at the Broadmoor Golf Course on Sunday. That qualified the two for a trip to the United State Amateur Public Links Championship. Only a few weeks ago, the two golfers earned all-academic honors.

Masterson - freshman runner earns respect

Oregon State runner places in top 10 at junior national meet, now sixth fastest in USA
Casey Masterson finished the final race of her freshman year on Sunday. It was the last race any Beaver runner will participate in until cross country season begins. The freshman phenom finished sixth in the 1,500 meters at the 2008 USA Track and Field Junior National meet.

Imus taken out of context

Don Imus is back. And the radio show host for WABC in New York has recent remarks putting him in the national news - again. In the wake of his firing last year for racist remarks made in reference to a women's basketball team, Imus finds himself in the shooter's eye again, mostly because of his name and not the actual remarks he made.
