University presidents across Oregon "Think Out Loud"
Ed Ray and presidents from Oregon's other universities met on OPB's program 'Think Out Loud' Wednesday evening
Think Out Loud hosted a program titled Higher Education last night at Portland State University, starring the presidents of major Oregon universities, including President Ed Ray.
The Oregon Public Broadcasting network filmed the show and plans to air it this morning and tomorrow morning at 9 a.

Viktor Podolskiy, an assistant professor of physics at OSU, contributed largely to this advance.
Along with researchers from Norfolk State University, Podolskiy has solved one of the remaining challenges surrounding the field of metamaterial optics - developing a way to prevent the loss of light as it passes through photonic "metamaterials.

Hal Schudel, founder of Holiday Tree Farms, has recently donated $1 million to OSU.
Schudel founded his business of premium cut Christmas trees back in 1955 and named his establishment Holiday Tree Farms.
Now, 54 years later, the company is the largest commercial grower of holiday trees in the world and is located here in Corvallis.
