A talented group of freshmen gymnasts have gotten their feet wet in the world of Pac-10 gymnastics with an opening meet in Cancun. This week the freshmen and their teammates get one more taste of the road before returning to Corvallis for their first home meet.
Former Beaver Hass signed by Seattle

As successful as college was for former OSU wide receiver Mike Hass, the National Football League has been much more difficult for the Portland native.
After leaving Jesuit High School with a strong senior season, which included 1,739 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns, Hass was not offered a scholarship by any Division One schools.
A weekend of NFL games
The unfortunate return to the first week of classes after the much-too-short holiday season does have at least one or two perks. These few short weeks have been nationally accepted as the most exciting time of the year in sports, with the mayhem of March Madness a close second.
Swimmers host Washington
Oregon State looks for revenge over last years 143-111 loss to Washington in Corvallis
The Oregon State swim team will be looking to dive into a tough competition come Saturday when they face the University of Washington at Dixon Recreation Center's Steven's Natatorium.
OSU currently has a record of 4-7 while the Huskies are slightly stronger with a record of 6-5.
