There will also be a comedy show, "Que Locos," by special guest comedian Manny Maldanado from Modesto, Calif. His appearances include a music television show on Black Entertainment Television. The comedy act will be followed by music from a local DJ and a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Along with all of these festivities, there will be a raffle for prizes. The event is free and open to the public.
The president of the Hispanic Student Union, Stephen Modesto, encourages people to come at 5:30 p.m. when the doors open to secure a sitting spot for the dinner. Some professors are even giving extra credit to their students who attend the event, he said.
