Members of the ASOSU Environmental Affairs Task Force submitted the completed petition for the Green Energy Fee to ASOSU President Mike Olson today.
Because of the collected 1,731 signatures, the initiative will likely appear on the general election ballot for student government positions later this term. The petition and all of its signatures will face approval before the judicial board before it officially takes a place on the ballot
Students can cast their votes April 25, just after midnight, until April 26 at midnight on Blackboard.
Because ASOSU cannot claim bias on any of the items on the ballot, a group called the Green Team, headed by Violet DePoe, has been created.
During weeks two and three of spring term, the Green Team will perform class wraps - visiting various classed and making announcements about the initiative.
Week four, the Green Team will station in the MU Quad to answer questions and further their cause.
