Beaver fans will have the opportunity next week to watch Oregon State student-athletes perform in a totally different venue than their typical places of competition, as the fifth annual "The Other Side" talent show is set to take place today.
The event will be held at the LaSells Stewart Center. A silent auction will precede the show at 6:30 p.m., with the talent show starting at approximately 7 p.m.
"The Other Side" got its start in 2003, and each year its proceeds have gone to a worthy charity. This year will benefit the Bluffton (Ohio) University Memorial Fund, in memory of the school's baseball players who died in a tragic bus accident in March. Bluffton's athletic teams are also known as the Beavers.
Tickets for the event are $5 for adults, $3 for OSU students with school identification and $1 for children ages 18 and under. Tickets will be available at the event only.
