As for academics, Keith has already adjusted to the university lifestyle, finding a liking for liberal arts.
"I'm liking it. I'm taking a couple ethnic studies classes and couple poly-sci classes as well," Robertson said. "I'm still trying to decide which one I like. I have a couple of cool professors. It's only my second week and I already have good relationships with my professors, so that's a big key. I think that is going to help me have success here."
But Robertson looks to help the Beavers anyway he can as he learns and adjusts to the quickness of the Pac-10 and teams alike. With the Utah Utes coming to Reser Stadium for the opening game four months away, he has plenty of time to adapt and could help be a piece to a Pac-10 championship.
"I'm new here, so I'm just trying to fit in where I can, and I understand my role, just being the new guy and trying to work my way up," Robertson said. "I'm just hoping that I can contribute to my team. I'm not looking to start or anything, I'm just looking to contribute, just to be a part of the team, try to help us out."
Robertson acknowledges the fact that he is "low man on the totem pole" at this point, but he is willing to work at it. A love of the game, as well as his team, looks to help a Lake Oswego kid learn what Oregon State is about.
"I'm starting from the bottom trying to work my way up, and if I get to the top, that's great, but whatever they want me to do, I'm just going to do it," Robertson said. "I'm just happy to have this uniform on and be out here finally. It has been a long road. I'm just thankful that I am a part of this team and this family."
