Wilson column - Past affects the present

Mr. Wilson,

Once again, I must encourage you to take one of the many fine ethnic studies courses they offer here at OSU. Your ignorance is abundant in so many ways and your grasp of history and current events is less than minimal. You seem to not realize that the atrocities that have happened continually throughout U.S. history toward Native Americans, Blacks, Latinos etc. are still ongoing. They have not simply become obsolete. As much as you would like to tell us all to move on from the past, the past continually affects the present and will affect the future until individuals such as yourself realize their white privilege and own up to it.

Europeans invaded America and yes, established their government illegally. This trend was also seen in Africa and everywhere else Europe chose to make its presence known. It appears that every time you write one of your racially demeaning and ignorant articles, you prove individuals like Ms. Roman-Nose right. And I would highly encourage any and all individuals who do not want to be as misinformed as you are to take a DPD course, or else they may just end up sounding like a blithering idiot, as you do.
