• Well, it is clear that Britney Spears should be left alone, but at this point it is unavoidable. Her VMA performance was a train wreck - the kind you knew you should have turned away from, but you just couldn't make yourself do it. Plenty of excuses have circulated about the performance, but they are merely excuses. (If you want some examples, they aren't hard to find - Google it.) To make matters worse, after the performance Britney was photographed getting out of a car, in a dress, going commando - again.
• More VMA gossip! During Alicia Keys' performance, Pamela Anderson's exes Tommy Lee and Kid Rock got into a brawl. Lee claims he was minding his business when Kid Rock came up and punched him in the cheek. "[I] was ready to go in the alley and kick his ass," Lee said of the incident. "I was about to put Kid in the emergency room when security grabbed me." There are many rumors as to why Kid Rock would have punched Lee out of nowhere, but it seems pretty clear it had something to do with the busty blonde.
• "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens endured scandal as a nude picture of her popped up on the Internet. The teen star, who will be 19 in December, could have easily denied it, as many fans did not believe the photo could be of her. But no, her publicist released a statement admitting the pictures were taken in private and it was "unfortunate" they were released online. Disney Channel spokeswoman Patti McTeague said Disney will still work with Hudgens, stating, "Vanessa has apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment. We hope she's learned a valuable lesson." Let's just hope these pictures were taken when she was legal. Oh, and it has yet to be proven, but I believe her costar boyfriend, Zac Efron, took the photos. Tsk, tsk. When will celebrities learn?
• Poor Owen Wilson failed a suicide attempt on Aug. 26. Reports say the actor overdosed on drugs and made superficial cuts on his wrist. His two brothers, Andrew and Luke Wilson, were with him as he was taken to the hospital. Initially it was denied that Wilson was taking his life, but later reports have made clear that his intentions were suicidal. Wilson is now under constant surveillance by his family and friends, but not ex-flame Kate Hudson. Rumors have blamed their failed relationship for pushing Wilson over the edge, and family and friends have denied her any contact. Additionally, Wilson has been struggling with depression and an addiction to heroin and cocaine, which is said to have caused the break-up. Wilson released a statement saying, "I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time." Sadly, he has refused rehab.
