MIP Regulations
Use what you pay for
The recent articles over the new MIP regulations have caught my interest, so I thought I'd throw my oar into the water. I agree that a 90-day suspension is probably too long to be appropriate.
For those like Place and Castle who have had their licenses suspended, the world hasn't ended. I didn't have a car for my first two years here. Any time I had to leave town I took the Greyhound or rode with a friend. This year I'm trying something new: riding the CTS and Philomath Connection buses. It's by far less inconvenient than I expected, cheaper than paying for gas and parking, and in some cases faster since I get dropped off right on campus instead of walking half a mile. Time spent waiting for a bus is time where I'm forced to do homework, a plus.
Stop complaining, pick up the bus schedules, and give it a try. You've already paid for it.
