If you're looking for a way to express your creativity and possibly win an 80 gigabyte iPod and a $50 gift certificate to iTunes, you may be in luck.

The MARS program is looking for new poster designs and will be accepting entries from Benton and four other counties.

The winning poster will be used in all five counties where MARS has been implemented.

According to its website, MARS stands for Male Advocates for Responsible Sexuality, and it began as a way to promote male involvement in sexual health.

MARS focuses on addressing the sexual and reproductive health needs and concerns of males ages 13 to 25.

Advocates and staff members working for MARS use a peer-to-peer approach, are college-aged and go through extensive training to effectively deliver information to young adults and teens.

Posters will be judged on language, visual attractiveness, the use of the MARS logo, innovation, portrayal of the MARS program and several other qualities mentioned on the program's website.

A panel of MARS program staff as well as college and high school students will judge entries. The deadline to submit an entry is May 7.

The contest winner will be announced at the second annual Poetry SEX Slam at Cloud 9 in Corvallis on May 14.
