ARRESTS

2:50 p.m., Tuesday, April 22 - OSU student Hau P. Pham, 19, was cited on charges of theft in the second degree after she was caught by OSU Bookstore security taking two printer cartridges from the bookstore without paying. The cartridges were worth $53 and Pham was cited and released from the scene.

2:49 a.m., Sunday, April 19 - Elaina Anders of Corvallis, 22, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants after she was stopped between Western Blvd. and Philomath Blvd. for failure to drive within the lane multiple times. Anders consented to and failed a field sobriety test at which point she was arrested and transported to the Benton County Correctional Facility, where she provided a valid breath sample and was released to jail staff. Anders had a blood alcohol level of 0.11 percent.

1:12 a.m., Friday, April 18 - OSU student Joel G. Lopez, 19, was arrested on charges of interfering with a peace officer, escape in the third degree, theft in the second degree, driving under the influence of intoxicants (bicycle), minor in possession of intoxicants and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana after an officer observed him crashing a stolen bicycle in front of a patrol car between N.W. Van Buren Ave. and N.W. 21st St. The officer attempted to stop Lopez when he failed to obey a stop sign; however, Lopez turned into an alley when the officer turned on emergency lights. Lopez then crashed the bicycle a second time and continued to flee on foot. Officers were eventually able to take Lopez into custody. Lopez was transported to the hospital after vomiting in the back seat of the officer's vehicle where he was cleared and taken to the BCCF. There, Lopez consented to and failed a field sobriety test and an intake search revealed less than one ounce of marijuana in a cellophane wrapper.

10:38 p.m., Thursday, April 17 - OSU student Jacob K. Curtis, 20, was arrested on charges of interfering with a peace officer after officers observed him skateboarding while clinging to a car with another white male between S.W. Jefferson Way and N.W. 26th St. Curtis attempted to flee after the officer gave verbal commands to stop and signaled him with lights and a siren. Curtis was arrested and determined to be under the influence of marijuana.
