Oregon State softball took another hit. The post-season chances are dwindling for the Beavers. Oregon State's overall record fell this weekend to 26-25, 4-10 Pac-10. Barely arguable for post-season consideration.

Fundementals have become the biggest foe of the Beavers. Dropped fly balls, missed assignments and poor base running.

Oregon State jumped off to a quick 5-0 lead in the first two innings on Saturday, but was unable to hold on as it fell 7-6 to No. 8 ranked Arizona Wildcats.

Senior Cambria Miranda was the brighest spot on the day. She hit her 40th career home run, bringing her within 12 of Oregon State career home run leader Tarrah Beyster.

On Sunday afternoon, Oregon State left seven on, collected only three hits and lost to the Wildcats 13-1. Arizona improves to 31-15, 8-7 Pac-10.

Junior Paige Lowe and freshmen Erin Guzy and Audrey Roderfeld chalked up the hits for the Beavers.

Oregon State picked up its lone run in the top of the third after sophomore Alana Ford was hit by pitch, stole second and scored on a throwing error by catcher Callista Balko.

Sophomore Kelly Dyer was charged with the loss after pitching 0.2 innings, putting her record at 17-19, while Arizona's Taryne Mowatt earned the complete-game win with her record now 19-11.

Oregon State will host Oregon on Tuesday, Apr. 29 at 3 p.m.
