And the award goes to...
Jenna Santelli

It's time for Jenna's Benny Award Show - because mine is far superior, obviously.
Most memorable sport highlight this year:
There are two. The first one was Tasha Smith receiving a perfect 10 on her floor performance against BYU. This made myself and Beaver Nation proud. Her beam routine should make Michael Jackson proud too. She can do a mean moonwalk. The second is Ryan Ortiz's grand slam against UCLA in the final game of the series. Hitting a grand slam is hard enough, but having it be the game winner - wow. It was grand and one for the history books.
Nicest male and female athletes:
Brandon Hughes is truly the nicest male athlete representing the football team. His smile, presence and grace all around campus and on the field are all worthy of mention. He will talk to anyone who wants to and he will offer up a hug anytime.
Paige Lowe is probably one of the nicest people on campus. Her bubbly personality and friendly tone makes anyone feel comfortable. She is a wonderful person and a wonderful second baseman.
Best looking male athlete:
This was one of the hardest awards to give out. Let's be honest, there are so many good looking male athletes. Picking just one wasn't hard - it was nearly impossible. But in the end, this award goes to baseball infielder Jason Ogata. Whether on the baseball diamond sweating or walking to class in sweatpants, Jason Ogata always looks good. I guess he is naturally talented in looking good as well as playing baseball.
Best looking female athlete:
Every time I see this female athlete, I can't help but stare. I know that sounds creepy, but she is just that gorgeous. Jesse Velasquez is an amazing soccer player and could be a successful model as well. She has had a strong spring season by contributing a goal in a Beavers win against Portland State.
Best feel good story of the year:
Tim Patrick gets Jenna's Benny without any question. Not only did he come back from a broken neck, but he also challenged his teammate Nick Brascetta for a starting spot this past season. Patrick didn't let a bad injury blur his vision of his love for Oregon State wrestling.
