Introducing Seth's world

Seth is the only person in the world who I cannot whatsoever wrap my head around. We have known each other for maybe a week, but already it seems as if Seth has gone through every emotional transition possible without realizing it. Even his pupils transform while sitting on the edge of the bed. They fluctuate in and out every time he gazes into a dark corner.

It is easy to watch Seth change, as he is not ashamed of any aspect of himself. He reveals with ease the better portion of his lifetime with self-regarded composure though, however, he stops before one can draw any satisfying conclusions. The average person will usually open up completely during an interview because it is the first time that someone has paid complete attention to him, but Seth is different. He keeps things hidden while remaining unaware of just how much he is leading others on. People want more, but he resides in distraction.

The trick is to be patient. Little things leak out from the cracks. For example, while lying on silk sheets last Wednesday, Seth suddenly pulled out a torn birthday bag from years ago and dumped its entire contents out. Inside were more non-digitalized pictures than I have ever seen at one time. It is typical for this generation to take snap shots of every drunken moment, but the memories Seth has saved up are all mini epics of their own right. One of my favorites was captured by a nurse during a surgery he had. On one leg the doctors are cutting into bone and on the other, a big black "Noooo" was written in sharpie to prevent any operating confusion.

Seth is an extrovert; a product of having always been around so many people during his epoch in foster care. His passion is nature, but he could not live in isolation a la Into The Wild. The words of Salvador Dali apply to him perfectly, when the artist said that the high density and high energy of a substance is the pre-mystical, pre-explosive condition of matter. Seth speculates that one of his worst habits has to do with the fact that he is always moving. He is sanguine and, predictably, would rather be angry than sad. Furthermore, like most men, Seth cries only over concrete events, such as life and death.
