Despite a season ending injury freshman tailback Jacquizz Rodgers finished the season with a conference high 259 carries. Rodgers was named Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year and found himself on the Freshman All-America Team selected by the Football Writers Association of America.

Although he ended his freshman season early due to injury, Jacquizz Rodgers was able to pull in multiple honors - from conference awards to All-American teams - the elusive running back is being recognized all around the nation as one of the best up-and-coming players.

Carrying the ball 259 times (a conference high) and obtaining a Pac-10 freshman rushing record of 1,253 yards, Jacquizz was key in helping the Beavers climb the conference standings. After being projected to finish as far as sixth in the conference, OSU, with the help of 'Quizz's unstoppable rushing, ended the season tied for second in the Pac-10.

Maybe even more notable was his performance against then-1 USC. Putting up 186 yards rushing and two touchdowns against one of the top ranked defenses in all of college football, Jacquizz proved he would stand up to any challenge.

These are just a few of the reasons why 'Quizz became the first player to receive the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year awards in the same season. He is also the only freshman selected to the All-Pac-10 First Team. The list of accolades do not stop at the conference level.

Building on his record-breaking freshman season, Jaquizz was named to the Rivals.com Freshman All-American First-Team. He is listed with other freshman standouts from this season including Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin and Virginia Tech running back Darren Evans.

Making the cut for yet another freshman All-American team, Jacquizz more impressively is named to the Football Writers Association of America's All-American Team list. A single team that has bestowed the same honors on some of the NFL's big name players such as Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
