Oregon State women's basketball brings their game back home this week after going 1-1 against Washington State and the University of Washington last week.

Last weekend's games improved Oregon State's record to 11-5 for the season and 2-4 in conference play. This week will mark the fourth week of Pac-10 play for the Beavers as they take on the Northern California schools starting Thursday evening. This week they face up against two of the top teams in the nation: Cal (14-2, 5-0 Pac-10), who's ranked No. 8 and No. 11 Stanford (13-4, 4-1 Pac-10). The Beavers have a big week ahead of them. Cal stands undefeated in conference play while Stanford's only Pac-10 loss was to Cal.

This past Thursday's game was rough as Washington State triumphed over the Beavers, 65-52. The game was close in the first half, but when the Cougars came out of the locker room after half time, they pulled away with a lead that the Beavers couldn't overcome. Despite the loss, sophomore guard Talisa Rhea led the team yet again with 19 points, six baskets from the field as well as three from beyond the arc. Rhea also tied for nine rebounds with senior center Tiffany Ducker. Sophomore center Alex Mitchell was close behind with seven rebounds. Senior guard Brittney Davis and Ducker had nine points apiece, and Davis also had four assists. The Beavers out-rebounded Washington State, but failed to outscore. Washington State's Jazmine Perkins took her team to a win with 21 points and Kate Appleton also contributed 14 of the 65.

Saturday's game against Washington fared better for the Beavers. The Beavers finished out the weekend with a 69-55 win over the Huskies. Davis had an outstanding game and led her team with 25 points and sunk five three-pointers. Davis' 25 points was a career high. Ducker led with seven rebounds, while Washington and Oregon State tied for rebounds Saturday night. Rhea scored 15 of the 69 and three buckets beyond the arc. This game marked Rhea's 10th leading in the double figures. She is also on a three-game streak of scoring ten points or more per game.
