In the Friday, Feb. 13 issue of The Daily Barometer, it was incorrectly stated that the budget for the College Forests has been reduced by 85 percent. In fact, only the money allotted for recreational uses in the College Forests has been cut by 85 percent.
In addition, it was stated in the headline that the budget for the College of Forestry would be seeing an 85 percent cutback. However, the 85 percent cut in the recreational budget of the College Forests is just a portion of their overall budget, and the College Forests themselves are just a small part of the entire College of Forestry budget, according to David Stauth of OSU News and Communications Services.
