Porter stops OSU

EUGENE, Ore.- Tajuan Porter scored 24 points to help Oregon overcome a 13-point deficit and beat Oregon State 79-69 on Sunday.

Matt Humphrey added a career-high 17 points for the Ducks (8-20, 2-14 Pacific-10 Conference).

Oregon trailed 45-32 when Joevan Catron scored inside at the 16:17 mark of the second half to spark a 24-3 run.

Crandall sets records

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Anna Crandall of the Oregon State women's swim team set another school record, this time in the 100 freestyle, when she finished the event with a time of 49.69 during the final day of competition at the Pacific-10 Championships.

XC signs three

CORVALLIS - Oregon State women's track and cross country has received three letters of intent for the 2009-2010 seasons, as announced by head coach Kelly Sullivan.

The first signee was Laura Carlyle, a Canada native and junior college transfer from Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, Wash.

Shortly after Carlyle's signing, Oregon State received two letters of intent from twin sisters Sabrina and Regina Lopez of Sacred Heart High School in Los Angeles, Calif.

Walker earns 500th win

FULLERTON, Calif. - Head softball coach Kirk Walker earned his 500th career win on Sunday morning in a four-run seventh inning victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the final day of the CSUF DeMarini Invitational. The final score was 4-1.

Three set for NCAAs

FULLERTON, Calif. - Three Oregon State wrestlers are guaranteed a trip to St. Louis at the end of March for the 2009 NCAA Wrestling Championships by way of automatic bids after the first day of the 2009 Pac-10 Tournament.
