Three Oregon State swimmers will be traveling to College Station, Tex., where the Beavers will be competing in the NCAA Championships.

Saori Haruguchi, Kayla Rawlings and Anna Crandall will be competing in the event hosted by Texas A&M starting Thursday, March 19.

The team just finished the Pac-10 Championship, where they took eighth place with a total of 412 points - several new school records were set and several qualified NCAA consideration times. Of those consideration times, Haruguchi, Rawlings and Crandall all qualified for individual events.

This will be the fourth time Haruguchi competes in the NCAA championships. Last year, she made Oregon State history by being the first swimmer to win an NCAA title when she finished the 200 yard butterfly in 1:52:39. She will compete in the event again this year as well as the 100 butterfly and the 200 individual medley.

Rawlings will be appearing for the second time at the championships. The last time she competed, she was a member of the history making 800 yard relay team that earned her an All-American honor. This year Rawlings will be competing in an individual event, the 200 yard butterfly.

Crandall will also be making her second appearance at the event. This has been an exceptional season for her - breaking three school records in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle. In addition, she qualified for three NCAA events at the Pac-10 championships including the 100 butterfly, 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle. Crandall's last trip to the NCAA championships was when she competed in the 800 freestyle relay and earned herself an All-American honor.

The Beavers will hit the pool in College Station from March 19-21.
