Oregon State trails Cal in the all-time record 33-63. The Golden Bears have taken the last two match-ups. Freshman twins Elia and Jamia Reid are two to look out for on the Golden Bears team that combined has 52 stolen bases with 57 attempts. Both girls also have strong batting averages: Elia is batting .338 and Jamia is batting .330.
"The Pac-10 is probably the strongest it's ever been this year, so it's insane," Guzy said. "Every team besides Oregon teams are ranked nationally. I'm not saying we can't expect to win any, but it's going to be really tough come out ahead."
"It's going to be a good weekend for softball," Brenner said.
Game one of the three-game set kicks off on Friday at 3 p.m. against Stanford. Saturday's match up with Cal starts at 1 p.m. and Sunday's match starts at noon. This weekend is also Strike Out Cancer weekend, sponsored by the Corvallis Clinic. Fans who wear pink to the games will receive $2 admission.
