OSU vs. USA
The Oregon State women's soccer team returns to action tonight as the Beavers will host the U-23 United States Women's National Team at 7:00 p.m. Admittance to the special exhibition match is free. However, fans are encouraged to "Help Fight Hunger" by bringing a canned food item to donate to Community Outreach.
The exhibition match with the national squad marks the first time a women's U.S. national team has made an appearance at Paul Lorenz Field.
The U-23 national squad is in Oregon training for a European tour later this year, as the squad recently captured its second consecutive Nordic Cup title in 2008 and its 10th in the last 12 years.
The U-23 national squad is the main source for future full national team players, as the majority of the current player pool has been funneled through the U-20/U-23 program.
Oregon State, which opened spring practice following OSU's spring break, returns 10 starters from last year's squad that finished with a record of 6-11-2 on the season.
