The Oregon State women's softball team will hit the road for the final road trip of the 2009 regular season to face up against No. 4 Washington on Friday and No. 2 UCLA on Saturday and Sunday.

"Pretty much everyone in the Pac-10 is ranked, so we don't have much to lose," sophomore infielder Erin Guzy said. "We just need to go out and play our best and really try in our last six games and go out and give it everything we have."

It's crucial for the Beavers (24-25, 3-12 Pac-10) to get four more wins in the regular season to clinch their postseason goal. The Beavers defeated UC Davis twice last Thursday in their double header, but fell yet again to top-ranked Cal and Stanford last weekend.

"We fought all three Pac-10 games last weekend and just came up short," Guzy said. "We've played Washington and UCLA before, so we know what they are going to bring this weekend, and I definitely think we have a chance at beating them. We know our ability and what we can bring, so we just have to do it."

According to Guzy, the Beavers have to win at least four of their last six games to make it to the postseason.

The Beavers set a new school record for double plays last weekend (29) against Stanford, which was played by senior infielder Paige Lowe. Lowe's batting average stands at a .276 going into this weekend's games, and she has 26 runs on 42 hits, eight home runs and 15 RBI.

Sophomore catcher Audrey Roderfeld has the team-leading .326 batting average, and she has 20 runs on 44 hits, 12 home runs and 34 RBI. Roderfeld still proves to be the Beavers' strongest offensive player.

Freshman outfielder Ashley Sanchez has become the second strongest hitter this season. She has .311 batting average with 16 runs on 37 hits and has as a home run and 10 RBI.

Freshman Paige Hall will be pitching for the Beavers this weekend, and she has a 3.11 ERA and a 14-10 record. Junior Kelly Dyer has struggled a bit more than Hall, with a 3.17 ERA and a 10-15 record.

The Huskies (35-9, 8-6 Pac-10) are coming off a 1-2 weekend in Arizona, falling to Arizona State on Friday and splitting wins with the Wildcats on Saturday and Sunday.
