Could frustrations toward Barometer be justified?

ASOSU, I recently read an article that members of your executive board wrote last week addressing this paper's coverage of your efforts. You spoke of our adversarial approach toward you guys and how these are dangerous times for students to be pitted against one another.
For a moment, I thought a war was imminent between The Daily Barometer and ASOSU. I didn't know which side to take: my favorite organization in the world - ASOSU - or my fellow colleagues at the paper.
However, once I read your article, I was on your side. I completely understand your frustration with our paper, with the coverage of the ASOSU elections as a prime example. I mean, we only included the elections four times on the front page during the election process. All we did was give detailed profiles of each ASOSU presidential ticket and each debate. The thing that probably irked you guys most must have been how we provided students with information on where they can vote.
We should have done more, and I apologize. Next time, we will dedicate every front page to covering the elections and all Forum writers will be required to write a column in honor of the elections. Hell, why stop there? Let's have the sports column write columns about the elections, too.
I tell you, the worst injustice was done by The Forum section. Those Forum columnists thinking that because they write in a section called Forum, they can actually express their opinions. Silly columnists, there is no place in the Forum section to write critical articles or take a view that is opposite of someone else, especially ASOSU.
Some Forum columnists had the audacity to write columns debating whether students should even vote in ASOSU elections. How dare they? Luckily, no one listened to the Forum and a massive turnout of about 10 percent of students turned out for the elections.
Well, from here on out, I am suggesting that all Forum articles be reviewed and given the OK by ASOSU. This is to make sure we are writing what we are supposed to write and not, get this, our opinions or ideas.
