In the May 18 edition of The Daily Barometer, it was incorrectly stated in a headline that Gregory Thomas Sako was convicted of kidnapping.
In fact, presiding Judge Janet Holcomb decided to grant Sako's criminal defense lawyer Stephen Ensor's written motion to dismiss the kidnapping charges last Tuesday for lack of sufficient evidence.
The information, while incorrect in the headline, was reported correctly in the article.
