The unofficial results of last week's Rec Sports election showed overwhelming support for the project, with more students turning out to vote than in the general election for ASOSU president and vice president this year.
A total of 2,291 students voted in this special election: 1,564 votes were cast in favor and 727 votes cast in opposition.
From here, the final architectural drawings will be made by winter of 2010. Construction will start during spring term of 2010, and the projects should be mostly completed by fall of 2010, which is when the fee of $17 per student/per term will be instated.
