Corvallis, Ore. - The Oregon State wrestling program is pleased to announce its 2009-10 schedule, announced Monday by head coach Jim Zalesky.

The Beavers kick off the season on the road at the two-day Best of the West Tournament in Ashland, Ore., on November 13-14 before hosting their home opener on Sunday, Nov. 22 against Wisconsin and Boise State. That meet is also an Endowment Meet, with all proceeds of ticket sales going back into the Wrestling Endowment Fund. Also being celebrated at the meet will be the unveiling of a banner displaying all of Oregon State's National Champion wrestlers. Wrestlers Robin Reed and Les Gutches will be recognized for being inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Oregon State stays home the following week to host Simon Fraser and Pacific (Ore.) University on Sunday, Nov. 29 before spending a pair of weeks on the road. The Beavers will host Air Force and Southern Oregon on Friday, Dec. 18 at nearby Crescent Valley High School.

January boasts four dual meets for the team, beginning with Wyoming on Thursday, Jan. 7, before a pair of conference opponents in UC Davis and Cal State Bakersfield on Friday, Jan. 15 and 17 before wrapping up with Nebraska on Sunday, Jan. 24.

The team will remain on the road for the entire month of February before competing in the Pac-10 Championships on February 26-27 at UC Davis. The NCAA Championships will be held in Omaha, Neb., on March 18-20.

Three Oregon State wrestlers return with national experience to lead the team, beginning with senior Keegan Davis (Salem, Ore.). Sophomores Kelly Kubec (Lake Stevens, Wash.) and Clayton Jack (Vacaville, Calif.) also qualified for the tournament.
