The '90s are often ridiculed as being one of the worst decades for music (think Backstreet Boys and Christina before she got "Dirrty"). But for those of us who jammed to 'N Sync and Britney Spears at middle school dances, '90s hits remain near and dear to our bubblegum pop hearts.

From Mouseketeers to scandal-ridden adults, we begin to see how time flies.

Remember how shiny they all were? Britney's abs were harder than Justin's image and Kevin was voted People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive.

I know what you're thinking: How did that even happen? Everyone knows that Brian was the cutest.

But there comes a time when we all have to say "Bye Bye Bye" to a squeaky clean ideal of youth and "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart," I'm here to tell you that season has come.

You see, the spring of our lives is the time that we are learning what others want us to know. Our parents are teaching us manners, teachers are preparing us with study skills and school sports are pounding us into shape.

Sure, we go through a lot of name calling and trying to fit in, but it comes with the territory because we're trying to be what others are telling us we should be.

You know, when you're feeling like you're "Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman."

Our biggest responsibilities are figuring out which pair of khakis to wear with which color Abercrombie shirt whose house to TP next.

About the time that Justin was breaking up with Britney (oh, they will get back together!), and Christina decided that full-coverage pants were rubbing her the wrong way, the children of the mid '80s were realizing that we're "Beautiful," no matter what they say...

The late spring brings more to think about as we scramble to write down as many extracurricular activities as we can on our college applications. And we begin to make some huge mistakes that we will either learn from or repeat.

Alright, I'll throw it in: "Oops! ... I Did It Again."

And here we are in the summer of our lives where our manners are getting us jobs, our ability to make flashcards and pull all-nighters is paying off and that athletic base we built playing varsity is keeping the booze from making us gain too much weight.
