After a big win last week beating the Huskies 48-21, the Oregon State football team will travel to Pullman to play the Washington State Cougars.
"This is another week of preparation, another Pac-10 game," Riley said. "Every moment from now on is a defining moment. Our team's mission is to play our best game this week."
Despite their records, head coach Mike Riley and the Beavers will not take the Cougars (1-9, 0-7 Pac-10) lightly.
"They are a Pac-10 team and we don't know what the weather or the conditions are going to be like," senior linebacker Keaton Kristick said. "Just to have the opportunity to play in a game like this and to work on playing our game, that's really what we're looking forward to."
At kickoff, there are chances of possible snow. However, the Beavers do not believe that the weather will have an effect on the team's performance.
"We'll be warmed up once we get going with a couple series under our belt and a couple plays," junior cornerback James Dockery said. "Just like [Coach] Riley says, as long as there's a field with hash marks and goal posts, we'll be fine."
As the Beavers' offense continues to get better every week, senior quarterback Sean Canfield leads the Pac-10 in passing yards for the third week in a row.
"I believe he (Canfield) is the all-conference quarterback this year," Riley said. "If you just take a look at his numbers and the leadership he has had with the team."
Aside from Canfield on offense, the brotherly duo sophomore running back Jacquizz Rodgers and junior wide receiver James Rodgers add up for 1,229 yards receiving.
"Our running game is well balanced, and we have a number of guys that are making plays in the passing game," Riley said. "Obviously, we have James and Quizz highly ranked with the number of receptions. So we are getting a balance of running and passing aspects of the game."
As the offense ranks first in the Pac-10 for passing, the Beavers will once again rely on their offense to lead the team in hopes of another Pac-10 victory.
